Be purposeful

Make connection requests specific. Explain why the conversation may be useful and respect the other person’s time.

Do not copy, sell, publish or use another member’s information outside the context in which it was shared.

AFTAP represents many countries, languages and experiences. Harassment, hate and reductive treatment of Africa or Türkiye are not accepted.

Opportunities and events must be current, accurate and relevant. Misleading, exploitative or repeatedly unsolicited promotion is removed.

Use the relevant report action when behaviour or content feels unsafe. Blocking prevents further connection requests while moderation proceeds.

Significant decisions carry a reason, appropriate notice and a route to support or appeal.
